FAQs

FAQ 1: What do I need for my first appointment?  What should I expect?

FAQ 2: How long does a typical women's physical therapy session last?

The first session usually lasts about 75 minutes.  All sessions after this will last about 60 minutes.

FAQ 3: Do I need to see a doctor first and then make an appointment for physical therapy? (Do I need a referral from my healthcare provider?)

No.  We can see any patient without a referral from their healthcare provider for the first visit.  If we believe physical therapy is needed, we will work with you and your healthcare provider to obtain a referral for continued care.

FAQ 4: What conditions or issues does women's physical therapy address?

FAQ 5: Do you accept insurance, and will insurance cover my physical therapy?

We do not accept insurance. However, we are willing to assist you by providing paperwork that you can submit to insurance for out-of-network providers so that you can pursue reimbursement.

FAQ 6: How often will I need therapy?  How many sessions will I need?

The frequency of sessions depends on the individual's plan of care developed by your physical therapist.  Most patients have either weekly or bi-weekly visits.  The number of sessions is based on the severity of your issues/your progress. Your physical therapist will discuss both the frequency and number of sessions with you.

FAQ 7: I just had my baby...how long should I wait before making an appointment?

It depends. Consult with your OB-GYN or midwife who was responsible for your prenatal care to find out when you should make an appointment.

FAQ 8: I live in the Houston area or outside of your service area. Do you travel?

Yes, we do provide service to locations throughout Harris County and Fort Bend County. Appointments outside our service area (Click Here for the Service Area map) will be charged a traveling fee.

FAQ 9: If I start doing Telehealth now, will I always be a Telehealth patient?

Not necessarily. You are free to continue or opt-out of Telehealth at any time.  Patients may be Telehealth only, or a combination of Telehealth and in-person, or in-person only.  We will work with you to determine what is best for you after the initial consultation.

FAQ 10: What are your rates?

Pricing for evaluations start at $225 + travel rate (varies by area). Evaluation and treatment visits are sold in the form of package pricing, and the more visits you purchase, the better your price per visit. Your package expires 9 months from the date of purchase.
